At Lown Brae we aim to breed quality, quiet Belted Galloways that have commercial traits. AI is being used extensively to introduce different bloodlines from over ten different bulls.

This season has been very promising with a number of pastures being sown and good summer rainfall. Our dam has filled up for the first time since 2005. The cattle are in very good condition. At the 2009 Toowoomba Royal Show, Lown Brae Bonita received Grand Champion Belted Galloway Female while Lown Brae Danza received second place and reserve Calf Champion.

We have had a few calves in recent months with three promising females about to be weaned and broken in. Two of these females are from past show winning dams and by Lown Brae Amigo. While the other is by Du Rapide Legacy and out of Lown Brae Xcess.
